My Future? How about yours?

May 30, 2008 / by TehAusum

My future. I titled this post "My Future? How about yours?" because I wanted to tell you what I want to do in the future, but I also want to see what anyone else will do. So i'll start first.

After graduating High School, I will try to get into a college that speciallizes in electronics and stuff. Like computer technology, graphic communication, web design, and other crap. After that, I will take a job in either the Airforce or the Army, and not just straight up join. That way I can help set up for the next part of the future I kinda have planned. If nothing happens to me in the military, or if I choose to be a career military soldier, I will get jobs in my speciality. If theres no luck, then I want to work at an alternate job, one that make you guys think "What? After all that? Random..." I want to work as a Lego Designer. Lego has been in my childhood for 12 years. (I'm 16, introduced to Legos at 4) Legos always amazed me by there theme of creativity and such. I have been to LegoLand California, I have Lego StarWars Games, and of course, I have Legos. But i dont have a bunch. I've been through a phase as a kid that once i play with something alot, I usually tend to get bored, then move on, but thats not the case with Legos, well, anymore atleast. I like the StarWars Legos, NASA Legos and the City Lego sets. I like City sets beacuse when I was born in New Jersey, my parents would take me to huge cities like New York. I've been through the Towers and loved it. I was inspried to build mini "cities" out of legos when I was little. We also drove near the Chrysler Tower and I stared at it (unaware that Lego created a lego replica).

This is the replica made of legos in the Toys 'R' Us store in New York City. I'd present a higher quality picture with more details, but the picture was HUGE.

Well, its been years after I set foot in New York. I remember in the summer of 2001 I went to New York City with my grandfather, and we drove near the Twin Towers, that were lost on 9/11. I think if one day I become a Lego designer or something I will try to recreate the Towers in lego form to honor those who perished in it. I can't promise myself that because I know I wont remember this much. If someone starts a project on recreate the Towers, I'd be glad to help, well, when I am older and hold a reasonable amount of money.

I know that when I have kids I want him or her to have legos, at the appropriate age of course. I want them to have lots of legos....and lots of military toys. I want them to have a great imagination and I want them to learn, create, and contribute to the world their creations. At a good age, I want them to start off on Airsoft. If I have a daughter, im gonna hope she is a tomboy, but tom tom boy, like girly, but tomboyish, unless the wife thinks otherwise, I mean, shes the one giving birth. I got dibs on the boy though. Anyway, I hope to design great lego sets for all kids to play and such, and hopefully, your children as well if you have any.

This may sound corney, but if they start making Halo Lego, I'm jumping in that project wagon and I'm gonna be the one jumping around in it, maybe. Anyway, I jsut decided to share my small imagined future for anyone whos interested, like maybe 9 people. Please, feel free to write to me or on your blog about your future, and give me a tip if its in your blog, or just message me. Thanks for reading my dialouge of doom!

Nice, you got your future planned out and shite. I used to love legos, but I sucked so badly at building that I just gave up. Whats this you say? You're going to get your chillins into airsoft? YES! That is where I hope to make my career, in fact I'm trying to contact people right now about getting some land for a airsoft park. It will be orgasmic...

But if that fails then I want to go into psychology.

If you want to pursue some technology related field in the military I would suggest the Airforce rather than the Army (and I'm in the Army).  Many people think the Airforce is just aviation and aviation support.  While this is a big focus for the Airforce, they are also the main effort of the Armed Forces to combat cyber-space threats.

Yea, thats what a bunch of people in my school think, about the whole aviation things. I was actually looking into that myself a few weeks ago. My friend is going to join the US Army Rangers, and he says that i should go into the Airforce to get into better fields in technology. Thanks for the tip!

By the way, I looked in to the 10th Mountain Division that your in. Turns out my freshman JROTC instructor was in the same division as yours! Random coincidence.
