I'm from New Jersey, now moved to the South. Here, I'm considered a Yankee, and I know I am, but it seems that most find it stupid and just dont like Yankees. Why? I don't know. I guess its because of some distant battle a long time ago with primitive weapons and suicidal tactics that spawned future movies, text, stories, etc. I've lived here practically all of my life, having moved here at the age of 5 (currently 16). I'm just wondering, why so harsh against Yankees? I know that most Yankees are kinda...I don't know...different? Well I guess they don't really think about what Yankees think about them. I dont think most Yankees dont really care about what the Southerners think, there too busy with jobs, same goes for the Southerners, but why the comments? (not on the blog, just in reality) I had a friend from Conneticut, was constantly ridiculed for no reason last year for being a Yankee, being called the most as "Yankee F***er." I have nothing else to write and I'm hungry. Its late, I'll edit later on for anyone that is interested.
O AND ONE THING;
If your from the North, along with your comment, state that your a Yankee!
From the South, say whatever
From the West, I have no clue
From the East.......I think i should have mentioned North East or South East...cause thats where I am......O well.
That ends my curiosity and what I had to get out of my head.
O and Itailian_Stailion....I recently itched my ass without noticing at the first itch. Did you read that? I understand how you feel now, because I just put it to reality.

I've had the same experience since I was born in New York. What I find to be effective is when they insult you in any way for being from the north just remind them that while we were winning the war they were too busy having sex with their cousins.... inbred morons.

I have no idea why people continue to be ignorant. Maybe the Southerners just don't want to admit they were defeated? Anyways, even though I live in the West, I consider myself a Yankee.

ummm my whole family is from newjersey.. i was born in florida but yankee has like two meaning kinda of... i didn't know it untill like two years ago... ok theres yankee as in the baseball team.. and ppl from the north... i guess an d then in japan... (i think) it means like a gang or someone thast hard core thats does crimes and drugs and stuff like that... soo yeha maybe they are associating yankee wit that..... sooo thast why your getting called all those mean things i guess..... ummm yeh i hope that helps
